Do I need an appointment to visit your Rose Garden Studio in Winchester?

 

Yes, I welcome clients by appointment only. I work one-to-one, so you have my full attention and a calm, unhurried experience. Please telephone me or use the contact form, and I will come back to you personally to arrange a suitable time.

 

 

What happens after I submit the contact form - will you telephone me?

 

Yes. Once you submit the form, I will telephone you to discuss your occasion, timings, colours, and the style you feel drawn to. If I cannot reach you straight away, I will try again, and an email address (if you choose to share one) will help me follow up.

 

 

How far in advance should I contact you for a wedding hat?

 

The sooner you contact me, the more options we have for design, colour, and finishing details. As a general guide, I encourage you to get in touch as soon as you have the wedding date, even if your outfit is not final. If the event is close, please still contact me - I will always tell you honestly what is achievable.

 

 

Can you colour-match a hat to my outfit if I only have photos?

 

Yes, I can often start with clear photos to understand your colour direction and the overall look you want. For the best result, I prefer to match your outfit in person, especially for nuanced tones like blush, champagne, navy and soft pastels. If you live further away, we can discuss the most practical way to ensure the colour is accurate.

 

 

Where is Marvellous Millinery based, and is parking easy?

 

I am based in Winchester, Hampshire, and I will share clear directions once we have arranged your appointment. Many clients travel in from across Hampshire and the surrounding counties, so I keep arrivals straightforward and stress-free. If you have any mobility needs, please tell me when you get in touch, and I will help you plan your visit. Parking is easy and free.

 

 

Do you offer ready-to-wear hats if I need something sooner?

 

Yes. I offer a ready-to-wear collection online for women who need something sooner or already know which style suits them. If you are short on time, tell me your outfit colour and your event date, and I will guide you towards the most suitable options.

 

 

What should I bring before my appointment or phone call?

 

If you have them, bring your outfit or a fabric swatch, along with a photo of your shoes and bag. If you do not have everything yet, do not worry - a few clear photos and your wedding details give me plenty to work with. I will guide you step by step so you feel confident about shape, scale and colour, and the finished look in photographs.
