Buy Online or Visit in Winchester

I answer the key questions about buying a one-of-a-kind, ready-to-wear hat, including delivery, returns, sizing, and how each style is secured for comfortable all-day wear. These FAQs help you order with confidence online or plan a studio visit if you’d like to try on in person.

What is the Ready-to-Wear Collection?

The Ready-to-Wear Collection is my selection of hats and headpieces that are finished and ready to buy straight away. I create each piece with the same care and attention as my bespoke work, so you still enjoy a beautifully made, distinctive design without the longer lead time.

How are Ready-to-Wear hats made?

I make every Ready-to-Wear hat using the same high-quality approach I use throughout all of my studio work. Each design has its own character and, once it sells, I do not repeat it in exactly the same way - so your hat remains genuinely one-of-a-kind.

How can I purchase a Ready-to-Wear hat?

You can buy a Ready-to-Wear hat through my online shop, where you will see photographs from multiple angles, accurate colour descriptions, and head-size guidance to help you choose confidently. If you would prefer to see a hat in person first, please contact me to book a visit to my studio, where you’ll be able to try it on and take it home immediately if it's ‘the one’ for you! You can browse and buy from my Ready-to-Wear collection.

Are the photos online of the actual hat I am looking to buy?

Yes. I photograph each individual hat after I make it, so you can see the actual piece you are looking to buy. I keep hats safely stored until they sell, and if I use an AI-assisted lifestyle image for styling inspiration, I clearly label it, and I also show traditional studio photographs of the actual hat on the same page. If you’d like to double-check anything before you buy, please use my Contact page.

Are your Ready-to-Wear hats one-of-a-kind?

Yes. I design and create each Ready-to-Wear hat as an individual piece, and I offer it for outright purchase only, so it stays unique to you.

Do you offer returns or exchanges?

I accept returns at the customer’s expense, and you will find the full Returns Policy in the Shop T&Cs (linked at the bottom of every page of my website). Please contact me by email or telephone within 2 days of receiving your item, and return it in a saleable condition within 10 days. I do not offer exchanges, so if you would like a different piece, please may I suggest starting a new purchase. For the full details, please read my Online Shop Terms & Conditions.

How will my Ready-to-Wear hat be secured on my head?

Most perching styles I make use a discreet elastic that sits at the nape of the neck under your hairline, and sometimes a comb as well to keep the hat secure and balanced. I include guidance on wearing in your parcel, and you are very welcome to ask me for advice on positioning if you would like a little help. If you collect your hat in person, I can often make small adjustments at that time, so it sits neatly and feels well-balanced. If you’d like a little extra guidance on shape and positioning, see my Wedding Hat Advice.

How should I store and care for my Ready-to-Wear hat?

Store your hat in its original box, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, so it keeps its colour and shape. Please handle it with clean hands and avoid sprays or solvents, as these can damage delicate materials. If you feel your hat needs a deeper clean, you may contact me for personalised advice.

Do you post Ready-to-Wear hats across the UK?

Yes. I package each hat securely in Winchester and send it using a tracked courier service. Dispatch can take up to two working days, and delivery typically takes between two and five working days. I use recyclable boxes designed to protect trims and shapes in transit.
